Regulating valve stress effects and prevention

Stress elimination pipeline due to combination or improper equipment will occur various stresses, such as thermal stress of high temperature medium, stress caused by unbalanced tightening force during equipment, stress caused by artificial bump to regulating valve and its pipeline, etc. These stresses act on the regulating valve and its pipelines, which briefly affect the function of the regulating valve. In serious cases, it will affect the dispatching system itself, causing the valve stem and guide to deform and cannot be aligned with the valve seat. Regarding the regulating valve with split valve body, it may cause the flange of the valve body to disengage. Stress may also cause valve seat leakage, etc. Therefore, at any time to ensure that the stress is avoided or eliminated, the stress is directed away from the local control valve.

 

Inspection of safe operation Check the safety operation conditions of the regulating valve and related accessories used in explosive risk places, for example, whether the sealing cover is tightened, the operation condition of the safety barrier, the power supply condition, etc., to ensure that the regulating valve and related accessories can operate safely.

Check the support condition The best position of the regulating valve is to make the stroke direction of the valve stem and the actuator above the valve body on a straight plane. If it is necessary for the regulating valve to move the valve stem horizontally, and perhaps the direction of movement of the valve stem has a certain inclination angle with the horizontal plane, the actuator should be supported to make all parts of the regulating valve in the condition. If no support is added, or the support is not properly added, it may constitute the non-concentricity of the valve stem and valve seat of the regulating valve, which will simply lead to differential change or packing leakage and other shortcomings. Even if the control valve has a fixed and support method, it is necessary to check on time, generally 2 to 3 months to check once.
