How to extend the service life of the valve packing

WATO Wuhan Weituo Fluid Equipment Control Equipment Co., Ltd The valve is a control component in the fluid delivery system, with the functions of cut-off, regulation, diversion, prevention of backflow, pressure stabilization, diversion or overflow pressure relief. Valves for fluid control systems, from the most simple cut-off valve to a very complex automatic control system used in a variety of valves, its varieties and specifications quite a wide range. In the valve design or use experience, the lift valve packing is mostly asbestos packing or graphite packing or PTFE V packing, but these kinds of packing are limited by the number of valve opening and closing, that is, with the increase of the number of valve opening and closing, the packing will wear and the gap will gradually increase, and the valve will leak from the packing to a certain number of times (according to statistics, no more than 2000 times). After leakage, the packing gland needs to be pressed again. This scheme is suitable for the number of valve opening and closing occasions. If the valve open and close frequently, (such as a year open and close 500000 times), which will undoubtedly increase the use of the valve, maintenance costs. Is there a design that can seal the valve after 100-2 million times? The answer is yes. One way is to add a gasket under the packing and add a spring under the gasket (the preload of the spring needs to be calculated). When the packing is worn, due to the action of the spring, the packing will be re-compressed to make it sealed. At present, this method can only reach 50-1 million times of opening and closing without leakage through use inspection. It requires the user to re-press the packing gland during annual overhaul, which can only reduce normal maintenance. Another way is to use hydraulic and pneumatic sealing technology to change the original valve design idea, use the cylinder seal slip ring at the packing, and increase the O-ring (need to calculate the friction force and seal pressure to determine the number of slip ring and O-ring). This method can be used to open and close 2 million times without leakage, but the O-ring seal is aging, the use time is only 5 years, and the cost is high.

Understand the installation requirements of the safety valve on the boiler

WATO Wuhan Weituo Fluid Equipment Control Equipment Co., Ltd Safety valve is the opening and closing parts under the action of external force in the normally closed state, when the equipment or the medium pressure within the pipeline increases more than the specified value, by discharging the medium to the outside of the system to prevent the medium pressure within the pipeline or equipment exceeds the specified value of the special valve. Safety valves are automatic valves, mainly used for boilers, pressure vessels and pipelines, control pressure does not exceed the specified value, personal safety and equipment operation plays an important role in protection. Note The safety valve must be pressure tested before it can be used. Safety valve is a special branch of the valve family, its particularity is because it is different from other valves only play the role of switch, more important is to protect the safety of equipment. With the rapid development of China's economic construction, there are more and more equipment projects with pressure control. In view of the need for equipment pressure relief, safety valves play a vital role in the protection of equipment. Safety valve installation should meet the following requirements: 1. Boilers with rated evaporation capacity greater than 0.5 t/h shall be equipped with at least two safety valves; boilers with rated evaporation capacity less than or equal to 0.5 t/h shall be equipped with at least one safety valve. Safety valves must be installed at the outlet of the divisible economizer and the outlet of the steam superheater. 2. The safety valve should be installed vertically in the higher position of the pot dealer and the header. Outlet pipes and valves for taking steam shall not be installed between safety valve and drum or header. 3, lever type safety valve to prevent the hammer to move their own device and limit the lever deviant guide frame, spring type safety valve to have a lifting handle and prevent casually twist the adjustment screw device. 4. For boilers with rated steam pressure less than or equal to 3.82MPa, the safety valve throat diameter should not be less than 25mm; For boilers with rated steam pressure greater than 3.82MPa, the safety valve throat diameter should not be less than 20mm. 5, the safety valve and the boiler connecting pipe, its cross-sectional area should not be less than the inlet cross-sectional area of the safety valve. If several safety valves are jointly installed on a short pipe directly connected to the drum, the passage cross-sectional area of the short pipe shall not be 1.25 times of the exhaust area of all safety valves. 6, the safety valve should generally be installed exhaust pipe, exhaust pipe should be straight to a safe place, and have enough cross-sectional area, to ensure the smooth flow of exhaust steam. The bottom of the safety valve exhaust pipe should be put on airs and have a drain pipe connected to a safe place. No valve is allowed to be installed on the exhaust pipe and the drain pipe.
